UWSL Programmes

Unitedworld School of Law (UWSL) is the prestigious legal wing of Karnavati University, dedicated to shaping the next generation of legal luminaries and policy-makers. Located in the heart of Gujarat’s burgeoning legal and financial landscape, UWSL provides a transformative environment where legal theory meets clinical practice. Recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI), the school is committed to fostering Ethical Advocacy and Justice-Oriented Leadership, ensuring students are equipped to navigate the complexities of modern jurisprudence in India’s rising tech and financial sectors.

As a constituent of Karnavati University, a multidisciplinary powerhouse recognised by the UGC and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), UWSL offers a unique academic advantage. Law students here do not study in isolation; they thrive within an ecosystem that encourages collaboration with experts in technology, management, and design. This interdisciplinary approach is vital in an era where law increasingly intersects with intellectual property, digital forensics, and international trade.

UWSL offers a robust range of integrated and specialized programs designed for the global legal market. At the undergraduate level, the 5-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programs provide deep dives into specializations such as Business Law, Criminal Law, International Law, and Intellectual Property Law. For advanced practitioners, the 1-year LL.M. program offers intensive research tracks in Constitutional Law and Human Rights. The school also serves as a research hub through its Ph.D. programs and six dedicated research centers, including the Center for Mediation and the Intellectual Property Facilitating Centre.

The admission process is meticulously designed to identify students with analytical rigor and a passion for justice. Prospective candidates must meet the 10+2 eligibility (typically 50-55% aggregate) and clear either the KUAT (Karnavati University Admission Test), CLAT, or CUET, followed by a Personal Interview. This multi-staged evaluation ensures that admitted students possess both the academic foundation and the conversational authority required for courtroom success.

Beyond the classroom, UWSL’s Learning by Doing philosophy comes to life through National Moot Court Competitions, a proactive Legal Aid Clinic, and mandatory internships with top-tier firms. Whether drafting contracts for GIFT City startups or representing the underserved, UWSL graduates emerge as industry-ready professionals poised to lead the legal revolution of tomorrow.
